Swati graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2015 with a B.A. in Global Health and Spanish. She completed her Masters of Science in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in May 2017. During her time as an undergraduate, she worked in the Kovelman Lab, studying hemodynamic activation during language production in the bilingual brain. For her master's thesis, she conducted research in Zambia with adolescents living with HIV (ALHIV), investigating the effects of an intervention on ART adherence and stigma. Her thesis also explored the topic of HIV disclosure with ALHIV. She also worked at the International Vaccine Access Center at Johns Hopkins, on projects aimed to reduce the impact of pneumonia and diarrhea in children. Swati joined the ALBA team in August 2018 to work on the Dyslexia Phenotyping study and the Dyslexia in Prison study.
